Sewing
We recently moved from Chicago to the Dallas area. I was sharing my sewing room with my daughter, the room was also her toy room and a sometimes guest bedroom. Let’s just say, there was a lot going on in that room!
Now that we’ve moved, I actually get to have my own sewing room! I am so excited. The problem has been setting it up. When we bought the house, the room was the bedroom of a 5 year old girl and it was painted hot pink! Now, I have nothing against pink, but how did she ever get any sleep in there? It was definitely not a calming color! It was too unnerving for me to even think about sewing in there!
Well, I have finally found time to start the painting of the pink! I managed to get a coat of primer on the walls this week. The pink is gone! Now I just have to find the time to go put the actual paint on the walls. I am looking forward to getting my sewing machine plugged back in! It’s been months since I’ve had it out of the case. I have a baby quilt that I need to do machine embroidery on and then put together, so I really need to get busy! That baby is due before the end of July!
I feel motivated today since I got a flyer in the mail from JoAnn’s. I need to go buy machine embroidery thread, but it doesn’t look like it’s on sale right now. Since we’ve moved, I haven’t even been to JoAnn’s. You should know, before we moved, I was there a minimum of once a week! I even purchase my machine at the Viking store inside of JoAnn’s and before we moved, I went in to tell the good-bye and I cried! They were the most fabulous women and taught me so much!
Hope everyone has a great day! Our sunshine is all ready fading, but I’m going to try to stay motivated!
