Puppy Update - Again!

Okay, after talking to the breeders vet and my cousin, who is also a vet, we decided to give that puppy up. The vet was unable to determine the cause of the hair loss and I was afraid this could be a lifelong condition and be expensive with medications, etc. The breeder was extremely good about the situation and immediately refunded our deposit.

I got on the phone and found another puppy, what we think may be an even cuter puppy, if that’s possible! This one is a week younger and so we have to wait another week to pick her up. We think it’s all for the best and that gives us another week to puppy proof our house. Here’s our newest baby.

I brought my puppy home almost a year ago, and he was only 6 weeks old and weighed 2 pounds. I am so happy I got him when he was that young, because it was so much easier to train him, teach him to walk on his leash, and not be scared of living in downtown Indianapolis!

I am not showing this to Mike. He will want on for sure. He really wants a dog, but we are “Snow Birds” and we travel a lot! I don’t want to put our new puppy in a kennel, and I don’t want to haul it everywhere we go. I most definitly, do not want to pay for airfare for it.

Yep, this one looks somewhat pitiful! Her breeder described her as a lover and cuddler, exactly what we were looking for! Better not show this to anyone who might even be considering a dog! LOL

I dont have a dog at the moment as I am out at work all day, ny brother recently got another puppy to replace his old dog that died, I was pretty jealous

My partner wants a dog, but its not fair to leave them on their own all day….

Jez - I agree! We’ve scheduled puppy training at <a href=”http://www.petsmart.com” rel=”nofollow”>PetSmart</a>. It’s an 8 week course, very popular from what I understand. I wanted to get the puppy home while my daughter was out of school for the summer, this way she can spend a lot of time with her and is responsible for her training, with me as her back-up. It’s so hard to leave an animal home all day by iteslf. I’m not working right now, so it’s a good time i think.

She is pretty darn cute isn’t she! She’s such a lover too, always wants to be right with us. I still think of the 1st puppy though and wonder what will become of her. It may have just been allergies, but it was a risk I didn’t want to take.
