Movie Theater Bargain in Plano, TX

We don’t go to movies that often, but when we do it’s almost always an early show because I can’t bring myself to pay $8 or more to see a movie. For the three of us just to see a movie, have a pop and something to snack on would bring us close to $50 and that’s way too unreasonable for me. We’ve found ways to make it less expensive by purchasing our treats ahead of time and sharing a pop once we’re there. But yesterday, my daughter & I found the cheap of all cheap theaters.

My 11 year old was feeling a little lonely and down yesterday so I offered to take her to a movie. Well, the shows we wanted to see had all ready left the theater we normally go to so I started looking around online at other nearby theaters and found one that was still playing the newer Shrek movie. The bonus here was that their regular price for a matinee was $1.50 for adults a $1.00 for kids! Now to make it an even better bonus, it was Tuesday and on Tuesdays every movie for every person is just 50 cents! And, before we left for the theater we had stopped at Walgreens and they had their movie candy on sale for $1 a box! What a day, movie & a snack for the two of us for under $5! Well, we did purchase a $4 drink to share while we were there, but we still got off cheap and we enjoyed the movie!

We have one of those in green bay, but the soda and popcorn are the normal prices, but if my husband and I can go to a movie for $10.00 thats not bad at all. CUz I just gotta have the popcorn!

This theater had regular prices on their concessions also and I’m like you, I have to have the popcorn! It’s the smell of it, I don’t even think about it until I smell it and then I’m done for, gotta have it!

We bring our own snacks too– It’s $9 for tickets at the AMC in Grapevine where we go to the movies. I cannot believe how much ticket prices have gone up in the past few years! We also go weekly too, so you can only imagine how much per year we pay!

Hi Laurie! Not sure where you’re building your new house, but this super cheap theater is in Plano at Coit and Park. It’s a Cinemark theater so you can find there movie schedule online. They aren’t showing the newest features, but if you miss something that just came out you can probably find it here a few weeks later!
