Blog Site Help and the Good Sister!

posted in blogging |

Okay, my sister Karen has been so great about setting up my blog and getting me going. She’s been able to answer many questions for me and if she doesn’t know the answer she finds someone that does. She has posed my question on her site and I felt I should ask for help myself as well.

My most recent question I posed to her is about my blog presentation. I use IE and when I see my site there is a box next to each post that looks like it should be a small picture, it has a border outline and an “X” in the middle of it. I am not sure what it looks like if seen in Firefox. I’m trying to figure out how to make it appear correctly, but have no clue. I am not a code writer but if someone out there can look at it and give me a suggestion I’ll be happy to give it a try. Anyone?

YaY! Amy at http://whateverifeellike.com said this on the PayPerPost forums.

    It’s here in her code:

    Code:

She can either make sure there is an image where it’s designating one, or remove that line of code.

I see you still have the little box. If you use bluehost (which it looks like you do), you just need to add an image called left_pic.jpg to your files. That, or just go into to you WP-Admin screen and remove that little piece of code under presentation.

Thanks Laurie! I’m a little slow to respond only because I spent the last 2 days trying to accomplish this. I was totally frustrated and ready to completely give up on it when suddenly today, I deleted a line of code and poof! the little box was gone! I could swear I tried the same thing yesterday and it didn’t work! Oh well, go figure!
    Thanks for your help. :-)
