Online Games and Auctions

I don’t know about you, but I find online auctions so addictive! And exciting! Sitting there waiting to find out if your bid is the winning bid, it’s tense, but fun at the same time! I’ve purchased and sold quite a few things at online auctions, everything from toys to books to collectibles. I even rely on auctions during the holidays when I can’t find hot items that are on wish lists, particularly items that are sold out in stores. What did we do before the Internet?

I also enjoy online games. I have trouble sitting and just watching t.v., I like to be doing something. I find I can sit with my laptop and play word games online while watching t.v. like Mah Jong or Word Whomp. My husband thinks I’m nuts, but I’ve noticed recently that he has started watching t.v. with his laptop as well! Hmmm, guess it’s not all that crazy now is it?

One thing I look for when going to an online auction or game site is if it’s user friendly. I don’t want to have to spend hours figuring out how a site works or how much it’s going to cost. I’ve never actually won anything online, but it would be cool to win a sweepstakes or even some free gifts like a Vespa, an I-Phone or a laptop! That would be so cool!

Even better would be to win a daily grand prize or cash prize or how about a plasma T.V. Making it even more interesting would be if the lowest unique bid was the winner. Sounds interesting doesn’t it? Sounds to me like it could even turn into a game show!  Stay tuned! :-D

Dear Lynne, We had a wonderful trip. We had perfect weather 14 days out of 15. Not bad odds. It was a little windy in Nauvoo the very day we had arranged a horse-drawn wagon ride that took us through the town. It was pretty chilly, but not bad. The east was warmer than the west. Very unusual, but worked well for us since we weren’t home. It was 88 degrees the day we left Connecticut and it is in the mid-seventies here.

I’m so glad that the paid opps are back to three a day. It’s fun making money. How close are you getting to submitting your blogs, or have you done it already?

We were told that we would have the internet so we took our laptop, only to learn that we had to use the computer in the lobby. I did blog two nights on my http://www.stocksnstuff.com blog. In another motel we had the internet in the room, but I didn’t find that out until I was ready to go to sleep. I finally started writing things down in a tablet, so at least I could write while I remembered what we’d done and seen.

Hi Peggy! Glad to see you in blogworld! I’ve missed ya! Your trip sounds fabulous and I’m so enjoying hearing about it. I loved Niagra Falls to, we were there about 9 years ago. I’m about 5 days from my 90 day anniversary of blogging. I’ve submitted my site for approval, it seems that they are backlogged, so I submitted a few days early. I’m making a little money from another pay to post site in the mean time. Welcome back! :-D

Thanks for welcoming me back. I missed everyone and I’m happy to be back. We loved every place we visited, and wished we could visit more places. We love to travel. We’re planning another trip next March to drive from Phoenix to Dallas, Texas. I want to see San Antonio. Mike has been there before on a work trip, and my real estate friend is from there. It will be fun seeing new territory.

Peggy - I love to travel, grew up traveling with a lot with my parents and family and I guess it’s in my blood! I wish we could do it more, it’s my goal to increase our trips in the near future!

I remembered you talking about Chicago and Texas. And I thought you had already moved from Chicago. That is interesting that you are moving to Dallas, and we are going to Dallas next March. Mike’s brother family have lived there for 30 years or so. Maybe we can meet when I get there. Peggy
