I did it! I got one of the valances made today! Unfortunately, I need to go back to Hobby Lobby to buy more backing fabric to make the second one, but I’m thrilled to have accomplished something today!

I got started at least! I laid out the fabric for my bathroom valances. I don’t have a pattern, but I do have the valances that the previous owner had in the window. I don’t like the fabric she had, but I do like the shape, so I used that valance as my guide. After cutting I realized I needed a fabric for the backing, so thank goodness I remembered that Hobby Lobby sells fabric! Hobby Lobby is so much closer to me than JoAnn’s, and since I just needed a basic fabric it was no problem to just get it at HL.
Got home and then had to get ready to go out to dinner with friends, so my project came to a stop. Yesterday I did pretty much nothing, although I did work on a few items for my daughter’s school, volunteer work. I just wasn’t feeling too motivated yesterday!
Getting some cleaning and laundry done today and hopefully can get back to my sewing room this afternoon.
