Bicycling
I need to get back to riding my bike. Several years ago, while we were living in Illinois, I bought myself and my husband each very nice, slightly expensive bikes. I think each of them has 21 gears. I don’t really know why I thought I needed to have 21 gears, not like we had a lot of hills or mountains around us! Maybe it was because I was so out of shape that I thought having all those extra gears would help me out!
Now that we’ve moved to Texas we have even smaller inclines in the streets. My daughter and I ride our bikes in the evenings, about 2 miles, not too far, just a good stretch of the legs after dinner. It’s fun and we enjoy each others company. Instead of having a bike with all those gears, I think beach cruiser bikes might be more practical for us. They’re pretty inexpensive too, I think you can get one for just under $90. I wonder if my daughter would like one, her current bike is pretty worn. It was a good bike too, but we all know how hard kids are on things! Getting a pair of beach cruiser bikes for us would be an inexpensive treat for the two of us. Who knows, my husband might even like one. With the holidays fast approaching I might consider putting a couple of these under the tree!
