Saving for College and Student Loans

Have you started saving for your kids college yet? We started saving right away, but with the cost of college educations on a rapid rise, having to get a student loan is not going to be out of the question when our daughter does head off to college. There are choices, there are federal loans or you can get a private student loan to help pay the cost.

I think it will be important to do research to find the best loan to supplement any scholarships she might get before she heads off to any University or community college. My sister spent about a year researching all sorts of scholarships and loans before her son (my nephew) headed off to school. It really paid off for them in the long run, a lot of work up front led them to save in the end.

So, how do you plan to pay for your kids college education(s)?
