Destination Imagination

posted in kids |

I posted a while back about the fact that I have volunteered my time as my daughter’s school’s coordinator and team manager for the 6th grade DI team.  Things are starting to get crazy.  I did successfully get the school to register with the National DI organization and now we are gearing up to hold tryouts for the kids.  I’m sort of nervous about this right now because I have absolutely no idea what to have the kids do for tryouts.  I have sent out a few emails to people I know who have done this themselves and will wait to hear from them.  Hopefully they will send me some suggestions.

Now, the school principal is also asking me to do a presentation for the PTA.  I’ll happily do this as I want money from them anyway for the team to attend workshops before competition, but I just don’t know if I can be ready by next weeks PTA meeting!    I just keep reminding myself to take some deep breaths!
