Going Green with Internet Searches
Are you part of the [tag]Going Green[/tag] movement? I can’t actually say that I’m part of the movement, I’m not really doing anything now that I haven’t been doing for as long as I can remember, but I do believe in doing what I can to help the Earth.
I recycle, in fact I have 2 large rolling bins that go to the curb every week and I know I put more in my [tag]recycling[/tag] bin than I do in the trash bin. I try to do all my errands in one shot so I don’t have to over drive the vehicle and I’m not afraid to walk. I’ve even been installing the new energy efficient lightbulbs all over the house. I’m sure there are more thing I could be doing.
Something new that I discovered is a way to offset emissions by 100g of CO2 that are a result of doing online searches. I can go to [tag]Carbon Neutral[/tag] and type in what I’m searching for. It gives me great results and can be used from anywhere in the world. The search page itself even gives an update of the exact amount of emissions offset to date. It’s actually pretty cool.
The goal of Carbon Neutral is to bring attention to our need to save energy and reduce carbon emissions. In other words, a new way to Go Green is as simple as using this great new search engine.
