Sports Trivia Fanatics!

It never fails, especially when football season is underway, the sports fanatics crawl out of the woodwork, they’re everywhere! Meet someone new, don’t know what to talk about? Talk sports! No plans for the evening? Watch sports! Need some exercise? Play sports! Sports, sports and more sports, my husbands paradise!

If you’re like my husband and love sports and sports trivia there is a great community to go and be with others just like yourself! It’s really unique because not only to you get to answer sports trivia questions, but you get to submit sports trivia questions for other trivia junkies to answer! This is a member driven social networking community designed solely for the sports enthusiast where members submit questions and answers, can create their own trivia teams, and even organize sports trivia competitions.

The site keeps a “scoreboard” in each category and even for sub-categories. So, even if your an expert in trivia for the Kansas City Chiefs, but don’t know a lot of trivia for other NFL teams, you can still find yourself on top of a scoreboard. Plus, points are earned not just for answering questions, but for submitting questions. And points lead to monthly prizes that are awarded to the top players in each of the sports categories.

So, if you’re a competitor at heart and know your sports trivia, head on over to TriviaFix to get your fix!

side note:

For a web site design one has to get the domain registration done in order to launch. The domain name must be catchy and an outstanding to attract users attention. The domain decides the IP address of the site backed up by a dedicated hosting line. With the outcome of aggressive email marketing an impressive and a sophisticated web site design is a necessity the processes must be carried out keeping in mind the technicalities to avoid foreclosure of the websites.

Bloggers are the Nicest People

I have only been blogging for just over 3 months but in that short time I have met some very nice, helpful people.  One I would like to mention here today is Robyn at Genki Desu Yo!! one of my favorite sites to visit. Robyn just moved to a new home and so I can relate to her posts describing her move and making her new home her own. I also enjoy all the stories she has to tell about her kids, they are so darn cute. She even has one that is learning to play the cello!

So, I hope you take my advice and give her a visit (even if she can be somewhat of a puppy stalker at times!). Leave her a comment and let her know Lynne sent you!

Voice Message Broadcasting

I talked about this the other day, but I am seriously considering and very much want to go into business for myself. As a business owner I would need to be able to market myself so I’ve been thinking about different ways I can do this. Most obviously, as an internet user, email marketing is a definite option, but I know it’s not the only one and maybe not the best one. I would want something else.

I’ve discovered voice marketing which complements most other types of marketing campaigns. With Vontoo voice messaging I would be able to create my own voice message, send it and track it so that I would know how successful it is. The best part is that I wouldn’t have to purchase any additional software or hardware. It’s even cheaper than using the United States Postal Service, and, we all know how I feel about them!

I would be able to increase my sales by targeting my messages and be able to use tracking reports to know which messages work. One success story I read about is from The Great Frame-Up, a company that wanted to increase it’s repeat business. In the case of repeat business, they felt a phone call directly to the customer would work better than an email. With Vontoo voice messaging they could send targeted messages to targeted customers and Vontoo makes it affordable, even for small businesses.

The owner of The Great Frame-Up recorded a single voice message, sent it to approximately 90 customers at a flat rate of $9, or 10 cents per call.  Just think, 90 mailers at today postage rate would’ve cost much more.  Around a dozen customers responded to the voice message and came into the store and spent more money, repeat business.  The owner felt that if he had opted to send out a mailing he would have only seen 2 or 3 customers come in.

This is definitely an innovative way to market any type of business today.

Rain, Rain, Now You Come?!

I swear, we haven’t had any rain for the longest time.  Of course, back in April and May it rained continuously for weeks.  Now it’s been nothing, nada.  Saturday, when our pool pump clicked on it was gurgling, sucking air because the water level had become low due to evaporation.  So, to keep the pump from burning up, I pulled the garden hose over and let it run for a few hours adding water to bring up the water level.  Of course, this is water that we pay for so it’s not something I want to do frequently.  I filled the pool to the appropriate level for it to operate properly.

Jump to Monday, two days later.  It began raining in the middle of the night.  I’m not talking about a light, gentle rain.  I’m talking about a torrential downpour!  Our pool water level at this moment is up to the lip of the pool!  I swear this happens EVERYTIME I decide to put water (money out of our own pocket) into the pool, it pours down rain within days!

Now when the pump turns on there won’t be much suction through the skimmers because there’s TOO MUCH water in the pool!  You should be able to see at least some of the tile around the top edge of the pool, can’t do that today. By the way, it JUST stopped raining a few minutes ago when I took this picture. Geez!

Online Shopping Coupons

I wish there was a Joann’s Fabric store closer to the house. It takes 20-30 minutes to get to one and, while I know that’s not that far, it is when you consider the cost of gas! I am always running out of craft fleece for the bags I make and I do get tired of going to the store for that. It’s definitely something I can order online and now I’ve even found Joann Fabric coupons for online shopping! This is going to save me so much time and gas too. I can just keep my supplies on order as I go and some of the coupons are for free shipping so that will save me even more.

The other thing I tend to run out of when I’m working on my bags is ink in my printer. I create my embroidery designs on my computer and print them for placement on the bag or garment. I use 123 InkJets coupons to keep my ink cartridges in stock and ready to go. My sewing production will come to a halt if I don’t have ink!

If you’re interested in a site that provides online Coupons that are updated daily, this is the place.
