Rain, Rain, Now You Come?!

Rain, Rain, Now You Come?!

I swear, we haven’t had any rain for the longest time.  Of course, back in April and May it rained continuously for weeks.  Now it’s been nothing, nada.  Saturday, when our pool pump clicked on it was gurgling, sucking air because the water level had become low due to evaporation.  So, to keep the pump from burning up, I pulled the garden hose over and let it run for a few hours adding water to bring up the water level.  Of course, this is water that we pay for so it’s not something I want to do frequently.  I filled the pool to the appropriate level for it to operate properly.

Jump to Monday, two days later.  It began raining in the middle of the night.  I’m not talking about a light, gentle rain.  I’m talking about a torrential downpour!  Our pool water level at this moment is up to the lip of the pool!  I swear this happens EVERYTIME I decide to put water (money out of our own pocket) into the pool, it pours down rain within days!

Now when the pump turns on there won’t be much suction through the skimmers because there’s TOO MUCH water in the pool!  You should be able to see at least some of the tile around the top edge of the pool, can’t do that today. By the way, it JUST stopped raining a few minutes ago when I took this picture. Geez!

Hey Lynn–I have a quick question—you know how much I love your puppy and your blog…I was going to point to your cute puppy in my “blog catalog” box, and link to your blog–but I was wondering if I could steal a picture of Plinko to go along with it–I have a favorite–and honestly–she may just show up as my wallpaper one day!! She’s precious! But let me know–if you would rather I not post a photo–let me know! Thanks!!

Karen - We just put all sorts of chemicals in it on Saturday, so the water looks really good. It’s only about 70 though, and now it’s over full. The joys of pool ownership! LOL

It’s sort of like washing your car, if you do it, you know it will rain!
