Finally Fall!

It’s FINALLY feeling like Fall here in NW Texas!  I am thrilled to say the least!  I haven’t heard the air conditioner kick on in almost 24 hours and that  makes me even more thrilled.

 Yesterday was super windy and rainy, but it brought with it a cold front and the temperatures today are in the 60’s.  It’s actually beautiful outside.  The wind is light and the sun is shining.  I can even leave the door open for the dog to go in and out as she pleases.

I just got back from doing some volunteer work at my daughter’s school and I found it quite funny that the office staff was talking about how they had turned their heaters on at home.  OMG!  Are they crazy?  The temp inside this morning was 65, yes, a bit chilly, but it warms up as soon as the sun comes out.  There is NO WAY I’m turning a heater on.  The a/c was just running yesterday!  These southerners don’t know what cold is.  Not to mention, I like it when nothing is running and I don’t see my electric meter running at full speed.  The utility bills here are outrageous. 

Anyway, I’m just going to enjoy the day and start by opening a few windows to let the fresh air in.  I’m loving this.  :-D

    That’s how the weather has been here too. It was in the 90’s on Sunday and humid. Then the storm came through and completely changed everything. I think our high today was 67 and it’s become windy again. At least the sun is shining!
