Computer Fun
I ran all my errands this morning and even managed to get to the dreaded post office to mail some packages and got the car washed which hadn’t been done in quite a while. I felt like I got quite a bit done, all before 9:30 this morning! I had so much energy and got home, took care of the dog and then sat down. BAM! All my energy left me and I sat around not doing much of anything. Well, I did get my Destination Imagination papers all organized and filed into a binder. I feel good about that at least.
So I’m sitting on the sofa with my laptop and not feeling like doing much when I ran across a really interesting people search site. It’s really cool, you can search for pretty much anybody, famous people and those who are not so famous. I did a search on myself and, although I didn’t show up on the list, there were several other people with my same name, I found that to be quite interesting. The neat thing is that you can search by a person’s name or by using descriptive tags which is cool if you don’t know how to spell your favorite baseball players name, you can type in the team name as a tag.
I did a search on my husband which had some very interesting results, including finding a young woman with the same name, hmmm. It might be a good way to find long lost friends too. It’s not a social network, so they only have as much information as you want them to have. There was one guy listed under my husband’s name that said he is using MySpace to find girls! Well, at least he’s honest!
My favorite one though was doing a search on Johnny Depp and having his wonderful picture pop up on my screen! Now that gave me back some energy! Plus, I didn’t know that his name is John Christopher Depp II, very interesting tidbit. Tim Burton also popped up on that search page because he has directed Johnny Depp in Edward Scissorhands, so it was a related link. I like that it did that.
This is really cool and can bring up some very interesting results. You might want to check it out.
