Tutoring and Learning

Tutoring and Learning

Working in elementary classrooms I’ve learned that every student learns in different ways. Some kids are auditory learners while others are more visual learners. It’s important that a teacher utilize many teaching methods to reach all types of learners.

In many cases, students may still need tutoring. It’s important for parents to look for an Innovative Tutor that will utilize different learning strategies to ensure the student is benefiting from the tutoring. While there are many tutoring programs out there, parents should find the one that best meets the needs of their child and his or her learning requirements.

I’ve a Smile On My Face

With all the talk of Google and their coming down on those who do paid postings on their sites, I was quite nervous to say the least.  This blog is just under 4 months old, has never been through a Google PR update and has retained its N/A status, until last night.

Every once in a while I’ve been known to go to the PR checker and see what my site is doing, but I must admit, it’s sort of depressing to see all those 0’s all lined up.  It’s sort of like not having anything to show for my hard work.  Now I know, PR is not everything, but I must tell you, I do write paid posts and it’s not easy to get profitable, good offers to write about when your site is N/A in the Google category.  I have a decent Alexa ranking, even though I’ve seen it going slightly upwards the past couple of weeks, and my Technorati ranking is significantly improving, but that Google, they’re quite difficult to figure out.  Seems no one really knows what we bloggers need to do to get a decent PR from them, although there are many ideas and many of those ideas I have attempted to implement.  I couldn’t tell you what works and what doesn’t.

I do know that just before I went to bed last night I decided to run the PR checker again.  This time, to my pleasant surprise, I did not see 0’s, I saw all 2’s and 3’s.  Now, I’ve said that I would be happy with a PR of 1 and that is still true.  But, my average is a 2, so I am more than happy and I think if it had come up as a 3 I’d be doing backflips!  This is especially true because I know that so many of my favorite blogs have been taking PR hits.  I feel fortunate to get the PR2.

I do know that Google is not everything.  I get just as excited (if not more) when someone visits my site and even more excited when they decide to leave a comment.  Have I told you lately how much I love backlinks?  I feel like I’ve made a number of blogger friends and this is really what blogging is all about, but it’s nice to get paid for something I enjoy doing too.

Now, if the sites I do paid posting for will kindly do their updates so I can have better and more opportunities, I’d appreciate it!
