The Sewing Mom

My husband’s job requires him to travel quite a bit and more recently his travel requires him to visit other countries. Last month he was in China, Hong Kong and Singapore. Next month he’ll be in Ireland, Brussels, and Hungary. He tries hard to not be traveling on important dates like anniversaries and such, but there are times it can’t be helped. Last year he was in Singapore on our anniversary. I decided to send him flowers to let him know I was thinking of him on that special day, it was after all our 20th anniversary!

I think the internet has made our lives so much easier when it comes to doing things like ordering flowers. I used to think of ordering flowers only for people locally or, in another state maybe. But now we can order flowers to be sent to over 150 countries, amazing. It’s not limited to flowers either, I could have just as easily sent him a gourmet basket or other gift and had it delivered to him at his hotel. My husband’s favorite thing is chocolate so that would also have been an excellent choice and something to savor.

Normally I’m not too bothered by his being away from home, but those overseas trips are usually mean he’s away much longer so it’s really nice to know I can still send him special little things on those important occasions and not feel like we’re missing out.
