I’m so Proud!

I’m so Proud!

When I picked my daughter up at school this afternoon she was smiling ear to ear, she was so excited she could barely get into the car.  My first reaction was to ask about her math test, I knew she was waiting to get her score back.  She told me right away that wasn’t what she was so excited about (they did not receive their scores yet).  She had papers in her hand and was trying to get me to read them.  I was driving, so I asked her to read it to me.

The first word was “Congratulations!” and it went on to say that my daughter had written an essay on the subject “What the Pledge of Allegiance Means to Me” and hers had been on of 6 chosen to be read at the Veteran’s Day Celebration at her school this Friday!  The celebration invites veterans with children, grandchildren, nieces or nephews at the school to attend in celebration of what they’ve done for our country.

I am so proud of my daughter, she continues to amaze me on a daily basis and she has also confirmed to me again that she is an exceptional child.

That’s fantastic!! You have every right to be proud, and so does she! Tell her we’re all proud of her, too! :)

Thanks Leigh! I’m going to the store today to see if I can find a better microphone for my video camera so I can capture her special moment tomorrow on video. She is just so excited. :-D
