Servers
I have been trying to get another blog up and running but have run into so many technical difficulties that I’m ready to chuck it and start over. I don’t believe it’s a problem with my host, but I can’t be certain. I’m not very techie so I’ve asked for help. I’m muddling my way through it and hopefully will have it online soon.
In the mean time, I’m always looking for possibly better and easier solutions. Virtual Private Servers would give me total control (not sure I’m ready for that) and give me the power to run pretty much any program on my own virtual server. Basically, they partition physical servers into multiple virtual servers and each virtual server then has the ability to run its own operating system.
This hosting system is somewhat advanced for me, but I know many of the people out there who are helping me fix my site that are advanced web developers and could probably benefit. They would be able to customize their server configuration and run their own software. I on the other hand, need all of this to be done for me.
I’ll keep you posted on my new site, I’ll be so happy when it’s all fixed!
