The Sewing Mom

Sunday Dinner

Sunday Dinner

Dinner is in the oven.  It doesn’t really feel like a Sunday and I wish it was Saturday.  I had a difficult time motivating myself today.  I did get the yard mowed and worked in the kitchen some.  I also got some sewing finished, I really needed to do that.  I waited for my husband to either offer to cook or go get take out, but the offer never came.  So, I got dinner going in the oven.

We’re having baked pork chops and cheesy potatoes and a vegetable, I still need to decide which one.  I breaded the pork chops with a coating of corn meal, whole wheat flour, sage, onion powder, salt, sugar and paprika.  I dipped each chop in egg and then dropped them into a bag with all the breading, now they’re baking.  I think it will be a nice change of pace.

What are you having for Sunday dinner?  (or do you call it supper?)

Chicken soup is on the menu for me. I think I caught the flu this weekend.

Oh no Kari, I’m sorry to hear that. I hope someone is making your soup for you so you’ll get to feeling better really soon. (((hugs)))
