The Art of Giving

We all know that this is the time of year for giving. We’re all busy decorating and buying gifts for our friends and family. We’re making plans for family get togethers over Christmas and next thing we know, it’s New Years Eve and time for more celebrations. Time goes by so quickly that it’s easy to lose sight of the true meaning of Christmas. Sometimes I like to take a step back from all the hustle and bustle and look at what I could be doing for those people who are less fortunate.

Many times we don’t have to do anything out of the ordinary to help those who maybe aren’t in a position to help themselves. Sometimes, while doing our holiday shopping we can also help, simply by making a purchase. This is the case at [tag]JacarandaStyle[/tag] where a portion of every item sold is donated to[tag]Ethembeni School[/tag] in South Africa. This school serves 300 physically disabled and visually impaired children in [tag]South Africa[/tag].

The products sold by www.JacarandaStyle.com  are beautiful and many of them are hand crafted and hand painted by local artisans. This company’s products and charity work has been featured in several publications including Marie Claire, Food and Wine and The New York Times. I found the most beautiful cake stand, hand painted in earth tones, it will look beautiful in my kitchen. Plus, I can get 10% off by using coupon code JSTYLE before December 14, 2007. I also noticed that by spending over $100 I get free shipping.  Isn’t this beautiful?!
