Plinko the Goat - Part 2

Plinko the Goat - Part 2

What goes in must come out; this is a very true statement, and whatever a goat… I mean dog eats, must come out, one way or another.  This is a rather gross post, so if you’re easily disgusted, you may want to skip over this one!

Plinko went out to do her business today while I was doing the dishes in the kitchen.  She came to the back door as she always does and so my mom, who is visiting, opened the door to let her in.  What happened next happened so fast, you have to imagine us flying around the kitchen as if in a time warp!

I noticed right away that Plinko had something hanging off her behind, so, because my hand were in the dish water, I hollered at my mom that I thought it was poop.  Sure enough, it was, a big 4 inch length of poop hanging out of the dog’s butt.   Plinko promptly sat her butt down on the nice new quilt that had fallen of the back of the couch and was about to rub to try to remove it when my mom grabbed hold of her to catch her.  In the mean time, I had dried my hands and grabbed paper towels.

I quick wrapped the paper towels around the hanging turd and began to pull… and pull… and pull.  I felt like a magician who pulls handkerchiefs out of his sleeve, it just kept coming out.  It reached a point that my mom & I were both laughing and now I had tears coming out of my eyes making it difficult to see because I was laughing so hard!  What I wound up slowly pulling out was about a 12 inch shoe string!  It was so disgusting!  But, that wasn’t all, oh no.  There were also a couple of those loops that my daughter uses to make her potholders on those plastic looms.   Unfortunately, I didn’t see the 3 inch plastic needle that my daughter was sewing with last night that disappeared, so that may be tomorrow’s excitement.

Following this episode, Plinko has slept most of the afternoon.  I think the entire ordeal wore her out.  Although, several times we’ve pulled small toys out of her mouth today.  I’m not really sure where she’s finding this stuff, we’ve tried really hard to keep things picked up where she can’t get to them, but obviously there is stuff somewhere that she is finding.

I guess the good news is that at least it came out of her without having to go to the vet to have it removed.  That still amazed me how long it was!  I apologize if I have grossed anyone out, but it was a story I felt had to be told.

Boxing Excitement

There are going to be some very excited boxing fans out there, guaranteed!  It was announced that there is going to be a rematch between Manny “PacMan” Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez II, scheduled for March 15, 2008 in Las Vegas, 4 years after their last meeting.  This is being touted as the biggest fight available for either man with the retirement of both Erik Morales and Marco Antonio Barrera.

Pacquiao and Marquez are both in their prime, so this promises to be a great rematch. These two boxers last met in 2004 where Pacquiao knocked Marquez down three separate times in the first round. Marquez fought back but their bout was called in a split draw. Many have debated this decision and are looking forward to seeing them meet again.

Pacquiao’s career record stands at 45 wins, 3 losses, 2 draws and 35 knockouts. Marquez has a very similar record at 48 wins, 3 losses, 1 draw and 35 knockouts. These two men couldn’t be more closely matched.

While this phenomenal fight will be televised on HBO, wouldn’t it be even more awesome to see it in person? Paquiao vs Marquez tickets are available. The bout will be held at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, that alone is worth the trip!

It’s Cold Outside!

Brrrr, baby it’s cold outside!  Back to insane weather patterns as I mentioned in an earlier post!  The weekend was in the 80’s and humid both days.  Yesterday, I believe our high was 36 and the ongoing drizzle was beginning to look like little tiny snow flakes last night.  This morning it remains at 36, although we might warm up to 41.  There is so much moisture in the air though that it makes it feel much colder.

The weather gal says it’s supposed to stay this way for the next couple of days, I even had to turn the heaters not only on, but turn the temperature up so that I don’t freeze out my company!  The weather pattern lately is just so strange.
