Fabric Stash

Fabric Stash

posted in sewing |

This past Friday, the local quilt shop was having an end of the year sale.  All regular priced fabric and merchandise was %25 off and all clearance was %40 off.  I just had to go.  This past week I got back to sewing and I wanted to get more fabric to make more bags.  I also needed fabric to make the zipper bags for my girls on the Destination Imagination team, so I wound up buying quite a stash.

I got 25 fat quarters, a pack of fabric charms, 5 more Advent calendar squares, and several yards of fabric.  Now, I need to get busy!  This is a photo of what I brought home on Friday.

I love all the colors. Just think how much sewing we could get done if we didn’t have to eat or bathe. LOL

Between you and Karen, you should start a business teaching people how to quilt. I’d love to learn.

Karen - I’d get even more sewing done if I hadn’t gotten hooked on blogging! Who did that to me?! :-D

Corrin - The real quilter in our family is our mom. She makes the most beautiful quilts you’ve ever seen. We all have quilts all over our houses and on all of our beds and most of them were made by our mom. The few that weren’t made by her were made by either Karen or my other sister Grace.

I’m more of a crafter, I like making bags and smaller projects. I have to have a more immediate finished project! My attention span is shorter. :-D

Jessie - If I remember right, it cost me about $90 for the whole stash of fabric. Everything was at least 25% off or more so I got quite a bit for my money. :-D
