The Waterhorse

We decided to go out and see a movie yesterday and there weren’t really too many options that would be good for our age range of 11-78.  We opted to see [tag]The Waterhorse[/tag] and I have to say, we all enjoyed it very much.

It’s basically the myth of the [tag]Loch Ness[/tag] monster, something I’ve been intrigued with since my mom & I visited Scotland and Loch Ness back in the 1970’s.  I was really drawn in to the story and the way it is told in the movie is very good, from a boy’s point of view.  The movie even finds a way to explain the famous (or infamous) picture of the monster and how it came to be.

The animation in the movie is incredible and I find it amazing what they can do with computer animation now.  The views were spectacular and it surprised me to find that the movie had been filmed in New Zealand because Scotland is also so spectacular.

If you’re looking for a good family movie, this is the one, very enjoyable.

Karen – We did really like it. It wasn’t the absolute best movie, but very enjoyable if you know what I mean. :-)
