Car Troubles
I went out in the garage this morning to start the car so I could take my daughter to school and I got a bit nervous. I got in the car, put the key in the ignition and started it up. It started okay, but then it sounded like it was going to die. I gave it a little more gas but it kept idling so slowly that it was shaking.
Mind you, we have a very nice car, one that should never need service, other than an oil change, and even that is required only once every 12,000 miles. It’s also the kind of car that if something should go wrong, it’s going to be very costly. So, to say my nerves started to shake along with the car, is putting it lightly. I really do hate car troubles. I had a vision of having to ride our little electric scooters across the main road to get my daughter to school! Well, then reality set in and I knew we’d have to walk since the scooters are not street legal.
I really do enjoy our car and, because it’s a convertible, it’s truly a pleasure car now that we’re in the south and can ride with the top down more frequently. The downside, like a said before, is that when something does go wrong, it can be, and usually is, very expensive. We even bought this car brand new. We had considered [tag]used cars[/tag] and I know we could’ve spent less money going used, but decided to go new because of the warranty. Everything, including oil changes and wiper blades, is included in the warranty. If I recall, the warranty is for three years, so I guess if something does go wrong, it needs to happen NOW!
I’m hoping it was a one time thing this morning, it didn’t do it anymore the rest of the day. My husband has to drive it tomorrow and leave me the van, I have to take the puppy to the vet. We’ll see what it does to him.
