A Sense of Pride

posted in kids |

I wrote a post last week regarding the World Wildlife Fund and my daughter’s contribution to their cause. She is a great lover of all things turtle and used ALL of the money she received at Christmas to donate to this great cause and help the ecosystem the turtles live in. I am very proud of her to say the least.

This morning, I was very pleasantly surprised (although I was asked for permission to reprint) the post. I feel like it is such an important issue and obviously Mickie does as well. I hope we can all learn from what my daughter has done, she is my hero. We live in an ever changing world and it is up to us to protect it.

I agree, I’d like to think that maybe I had something to do with it, but I have to give her the credit. I think it’s important to let others know what she did so that maybe, even just one more person, will follow her lead.

What your daughter did is worth of admiration and you have every right to be very proud of her. She did follow your example I’m sure, I just wish that some people would follow hers. It often puzzles me how some don’t get embarrassed cause of their own actions in front of things such as one your daughter did.
