My Poor Aching Back

My Poor Aching Back

I’ve had back problems for as long as I can remember. Sometimes I get a back spasm that comes out of nowhere, catches me off guard. If I get up too quickly, turn too fast, stand for long periods of time or even just lean over to make the bed, I can have a spasm that causes so much pain I just want to collapse and cry. I’ve noticed the tension in my back the past few days, probably stemming from the fact that I’ve been leaning over my cutting table working on fabric.

Two years ago I was going through physical therapy for my shoulder and the therapists also showed me some stretching exercises to help with my back. I can honestly say that the stretches have helped enormously. I have a lot few spasms than I used to. I do wish they would stop all together.

I wish I knew a good chiropractor or even someone attending chiropractic colleges to give me a good back workout. Maybe I should become one myself just to learn how to better care for my back and get rid of the pain once and for all!

I think it’s a condition I will always live with, but stretching it out tends to reduce the frequency of the spasms at least. Thanks for the well wishes. :-D

I can so totally relate to the back problems. I also get random back spasms. I find that going to yoga really helps. I also told the kids it would be nice if they would become Chiropractors or marry one when they get older… That would also help. :-)
