I’m so happy it’s Friday! We’re going to the Dallas Mavericks basketball game tonight and they’re playing the Lakers, should be quite fun!
Before I go I want to do my favorite meme, Four Foods on Friday hosted by Val. If you haven’t all ready joined in on this meme, for more incentive, Val is now creating a blogroll for those of us who participate on a regular basis. Thanks Val!
Here are this weeks questions:
#1. Bacon. Chewy, crispy or burnt? Personally, I don’t eat bacon. I do like chopped bacon bits on top of a baked potato, but that’s really about the only time I eat bacon.
#2. Mayonnaise or miracle whip? I prefer Mayo, but have been known to use Miracle Whip. I think MW tastes sweeter than mayo.
#3. What green vegetable is used in Italian Wedding soup? Oh, I love this soup, but I’ve never made it myself and haven’t eaten it in a long time. I’m thinking that maybe it’s spinach?
#4. Share a recipe that you use Italian sausage in. I know I have used Italian sausage in the past, I just can’t think of what recipe I used it in. Maybe I need to check with my sister and see what recipe she’s used because it’s probably the same one!
That’s how easy this meme is. Head on over and join in!

This is my first time to join
Sew Crafty Friday and Shereen, who has a beautiful blog, Waiting For Him, has made it so easy to participate.
My goal for 2008 is to work on creating enough bags and crafts to be able to start selling them. As much as I love to sew, sometimes I need some motivation to get into my sewing room and get busy. Once I’m there, I tend to work like crazy, it’s just getting started that I have a hard time with. So, now that I can report my progress weekly, I feel more motivated to keep it up.
So, here is one of the bags I made last week and finished on Saturday.
First I laid out the fabric charms, not an easy task for me because I am such a perfectionist, I can never decide on the best color placement.
I sewed on this off and on over the course of a few days.

I’ve been doing more work in my sewing room lately, cleaning it first and then I’ve started and completed 2 projects in the last week. The biggest problem with my sewing room is that I have no television access. There were no cable outlets in the 2 smaller bedrooms and so there is no t.v. It gets so quiet in there when I’m working. I usually have a nearby t.v. turned on, but I can’t see it, I have it on just for the noise.
For Christmas, I bought my daughter a portable speaker system for her iPod and I’m thinking that I should get myself one to put into my sewing room. I also have an iPod and it doesn’t get nearly enough use. I tend to use it only in the summer when I’m mowing the yard! I can play it in my bedroom, but I don’t spend a lot of time in there, so have a system in my sewing room would make more sense.
Speaking of my iPod, when I first got it I figured out how to download music onto it. The problem was, every time I attempted to put new music onto it, it seemed that I had to do it differently each time. I’m fairly easily frustrated with technology, so now that my daughter also has an iPod, I have her to all my music updating, as well as her own. Another item she received for Christmas was a gift card for downloading tunes and she’s been quite busy doing that lately. It’s funny because when I get a new CD, I tend to download the entire cd to my mp3, whereas, she will pick and choose specific songs. I tend to like most of the songs, I have a hard time weeding out the ones I don’t like.
That’s probably why I never change my ring tones, I can’t decide what I want! I have actually downloaded two unique ring tones on my phone and that was tough to decide what I wanted. I have been thinking lately that maybe it’s time to update, it has been a couple of years and the songs I chose are getting old. There are just way too many songs to choose from, it gives me a headache trying to narrow it down even. Not to mention, trying to do it on the tiny cell phone screen isn’t the easiest job. I should think about getting software that would allow me to create my own ring tones. Maybe I’ll just have my daughter do it!
