Tackle It Tuesday

Tackle It Tuesday Meme
I’ve been spending so much time on the computer lately that I’m not getting some of my other things done. So, I decided to use the giant whiteboard that is next to my desk and created my “to do list”. These were all fairly easy and basic things, but things that I tend to put off or simply forget to do.I spent most of yesterday researching orthodontists and dentists, trying to find the ones that accept our insurance proved to be quite a challenge. I’m still in search of a dentist, but I did manage to find an orthodontist and was even able to get my daughter an appointment for an initial consultation tomorrow. This is excellent because I am planning to sign up for the Health Savings account and need to know how much money to put in. It’s the account that if you don’t use the money in the plan year, you lose it, so my calculation needs to be pretty accurate. I was also pleased that when I explained what I was doing to the lady on the phone, she completely understood and was able to get us an appt. so quickly.

So, with the exception of calling a dentist and getting my mother-in-laws birthday box to the post office, I managed to get everything else checked off of the list and managed to start today’s list which is much smaller.

If you’d like to see what others are doing for today’s tackle, head over to 5 Minutes for Mom.

I love the white board idea. I may have to get one of those. You can’t misplace that like you can the little notebook. Good luck at the orthodontist. We are all done now with braces on the top and bottom. Yuck!

Amy – The white board was my husband and it’s been leaning against my desk now for about 8 months! I finally hung it on the wall and decided to use it. It really did help me feel like I was accomplishing something yesterday as I put big check marks on the complete tasks.

Great tackle! I’ve been working on getting necessary things done instead of spending so much time on computer myself. Computer is an easy thing to spend a lot of time on, isn’t it? :)

Julie, Terri & Courtney – Thanks to all of you for stopping by! I have a shorter “to do” list on my whiteboard today and am accomplishing most of it. It does feel better to be a little more organized than I have been lately! :-D

I don’t use a whiteboard, but I do have a list next to my arm while I am on the computer everyday. It does a great job of reminding me what I need to get done before I goof off a little. Though when I am being really good, I have it all done before I even turn the computer on!

I love my white board for keeping track of projects. And I tackled making doctor and dentist phone calls a couple of weeks ago so I know how that can take up your whole day. It’s good to get it done, though!

Heather – I try to limit myself on the computer, but blogging is like an addiction! I always tell myself, just one more blog to read, then I find another one, and another one! You know what I’m talking about! :-D

I’ve had that white board just sitting there for months, ever since we moved in! I finally hung it on the wall a couple of weeks ago and decided I really should start using it.
