Four Foods on Friday

I cannot even begin to tell you how happy I am that tomorrow is Friday. Strange as it seems though, I do wish I had one more day. My Destination Imagination team is not ready for their tournament on Saturday and one more day is all they would need. But, the show must go on, ready or not!

In celebration of the weekend being upon us, here is my Four Foods on Friday meme, my favorite meme. :-D

This week’s four questions:

#1. What type of m&m is your favorite? This is a tough question for me. I like both, but truthfully, I like to mix plain and peanut together.

#2. Peanut butter. Smooth, chunky, creamy. How do you like it? I like crunchy, don’t really know why they make smooth!

#3. Do you usually drink out of glass, acrylic, Tupperware type or paper cups? Let’s see. I currently drink water from plastic bottles, but anything else I drink out of glass. If I ever get my ice maker hooked up, I’ll quit buying plastic water bottles. I have to have ice cold water or I can’t drink it.

#4. Share a chicken recipe.   This recipe is for lemon chicken.

1 whole chicken

olive oil

salt & pepper

2 lemons

Pierce one lemon with a fork.  Place pierced whole lemon inside of body cavity.

Rub olive oil all over chicken.  Sprinkle with salt & pepper.  Squeeze lemon juice from second lemon all over chicken.

Place chicken on rack in a shallow roasting pan.  Roast in 350 degree oven for 1 1/2 - 2 hours.

Franx - I’m glad I’m coming across as happy! I’m so stressed about my team going to tournament tomorrow that I’m not sleeping, eating all the wrong foods, and not getting my work done! I just keep telling myself things will work themselves out. :-D

Thanks for stopping by. I really like your blog by the way. :-D

Mm, I like my water icy cold too, it’s so refreshing. I don’t have an auto ice maker either so I’m always filling up ice trays :)

I bet some garlic would be good tossed into the chicken, too. Not so much that it overpowered the lemon, of course.

Kari - That chicken recipe has become one of my favorites, not only is the chicken tender and juicy, but it’s so easy!

Karen - You’re so funny! I know you cook, at least you have past experience at cooking. You’ve given me some great recipes (even if most of them involve ingredients like twinkies, or cream cheese, or pudding….)

Corrin - I love getting the FFoF email too, for the same reason! This last week was one of the longest I’ve had in a while and I really needed it to be over. Hope you’re having a great weekend! :-D

I have to have ice in just about everything I drink, do you? That is, except for my hot coffee, which I’m drinking an awful lot of the last few days!

Sarafina - I think you’re right, a bit of garlic in the body cavity of the chicken would be a nice touch. :-D
