A few more hours and it will be Friday! It can’t come soon enough. With all of the storms this week I’ve definitely not had enough sleep. I’m looking forward to the weekend. To celebrate, here is the Four Foods on Friday meme for this week. Thanks to Valmg for hosting this fun meme!

#1. What’s your favorite food smell? My favorite food smell has to be the smell of cookies baking. This is not a smell that is in my house too often, but I love it none the less!

#2. What’s your favorite kind of apple? I enjoy granny smiths and red delicious. No matter what kind I’m eating, it has to be crunchy and juicy. If it’s at all soft, I can’t eat it.

#3. What veggies do you like in your salad? I typically only put mushrooms in my salad, but will sometimes toss in a little broccoli.

#4. Share a recipe that uses beef. I would have to go with beef stew.
Brown the stew meat in flour, salt & pepper. Add 2 c. beef broth and 1 or 2 c. water. Add cut up carrots, potatoes and onion. Season to taste. Simmer for about an hour. Serve over cooked rice.

The Law of Attraction.

What is it? Simply put, it’s like attracts like; in other words, negative feelings will attract negative feelings while positive feelings will attract positive feelings. Can we control how we feel, think and behave? Not in every situation. To some, the law of attraction is a great secret of life. The Sedona Method helps us learn the secret, the secret of being in control. There is a wave of awakening taking place as we learn to be responsible for our thought, feelings and beliefs.

The power to create all you desire is gaining momentum now that A New Earth meets The Secret. It teaches us to take action in order to achieve goals. Be open to the unexpected, it may lead you closer to your goal. My mastering the law of attraction we can let go of ego. Ego gets in our way and letting go of unwanted feelings or thoughts is the secret to mastering The Secret. You can have it all and still be free of ego. What a phenomenal idea!

We had yet another severe thunderstorm that moved through North Texas last night.  This storm was also packing high winds and spawned at least one tornado and caused wide spread power outages.  Needless to say, in the light of morning, the damages are being assessed.

On our drive to my daughter’s school this morning, we saw many wooden fences that had been blown down overnight.  Upon arriving at school, we found the building had no power.  They were allowing students to stay, but also allowed students to return home and said they wouldn’t be counted as absent.  There was no way of knowing how long the power would be out and all of the kids were having to sit in the lunch room.

I opted to take my daughter back home with me.  She was actually enjoying herself and spent time on the phone with one of her friends while checking out music on I-Tunes.  Then the call came.  Power had been restored and they wanted all students to return to school.  It was an automated phone call that didn’t bother to say what would happen if the students didn’t come back today, but I didn’t want to take a chance.  So, after running a couple of small errands, I took my daughter to school.  It will be a very short day for her, only about 4 hours and that includes lunch time!

I’m mostly glad to hear that the weather has moved out of our area and we may have a chance to dry out, at least for a day.
