I think what surprised us the most was this squirrel practically fell right into our dogs mouth! My mother found an American Foxhound puppy in a storm drain and I went to pick it her up and bring her home. Well first off she is a runt and about half the size she should be so you can image how small she was as a puppy and she proudly brings me a squirril dragging on the floor because it is bigger than she is but she managed to snatch it and kill it :/ At least your dog looks bigger than the squirril. A brittany and a brussels griffon --both who are born hunters. We live in an area with many rabbits and gophers...as well as other animals. At least once per week I find an animal at the back door. The dogs are so proud of their effort!
