Early Morning Wake Up Call

posted in sewing |

I received an early morning call today that made me quite envious.  My sister called quite early to tell me that she and our mom had just left the quilt shop after each of them spent a rather large sum of money on fabrics.  The good news for them was that everything was half price, the bad news for me was that I couldn’t go with them!

The quilt shop in Wabash, IN had a big half price sale  this morning.  The catch was that you had to enter the shop between the hours of 7-9 A.M. this morning only to receive the discount.  Let me tell you, for half price at a quilt shop?  I’d get up at midnight for that!

Holy cow, I hardly find time to sew, but I would have been there too, I’m such a fabric nut! I’m looking for some Japanese inspired prints for projects from a book called “Kokoro no Te”.

Jennifer - How much Japanese inspired fabric are you looking for? I have to look in my stash, but at one point I recall purchasing small (1/4 yard) pieces of fabric that reminded me of Japan. One was black with red and gold dragonflies printed on it. I’ll have to look to see what the others were. Let me know, I can send you a photo of what I have.

Karen - It’s fun to take advantage of those quilt shop sales though! They don’t happen that often. :-D

I wish I was with them too! SALE, don’t we just love it. Anyway hope you are well. I’m not too good either and the kids pc has been down for quite sometime so my laptop is their target. And I hope to get back in my sewing mood soon.

Fatiah - I know, I can’t stand that I wasn’t able to get to that sale! I need to get in the sewing room and complete some projects so I can justify buying more fabric! :-D
