Finished Bag

Finished Bag

I finished this bag a month or so ago and never got a chance to post it. The bag fabric and the outer pocket fabric is opposite black/white pattern from each other. You have to look closely to see it. The flower on the middle pocket was machine embroidered by me and there is an identical one on the back side. This bag is made from 100% quilters cotton and interlined with craft fleece. I used fusible interfacing in the pockets which adds to the firmness and provides support to the bag. This tote bag is fully lined and the 26″ handles are lined with craft fleece for additional comfort and support.

This is one of my favorite tote bag patterns and I love being able to add the embroidery work.

Mutsy Means Mobility

I was at the grocery store this morning and I went into the baby aisle to get a few things for our grand baby who is arriving with her parents this evening for a short visit. I was amazed at all of the great choices and convenience items that have been developed since our daughter was a baby. I wanted to buy just about everything!

Great choices and convenience aren’t limited to baby foods either. I’ve been looking at this fabulous Mutsy stroller which is compact, light weight and sporty looking, exactly what my daughter-in-law would want. I thought it would be more convenient to have a stroller here so that they don’t have to bring one on the airplane, one less thing to lug through security.

Mutsy

The Mutsy Slider stroller folds up for easy storage and fits nicely in a car trunk. The handle reverses which means that the baby can ride and still be visible to the mom or ride facing out so they can see everything. I really liked that feature when my daughter was an infant. The 4 Rider “Next” Cargo stroller is really great for infants. It even comes with a mattress pad and cover as well as zippered storage compartments. Both of these strollers are available with car seat adapters. They also both come with bassinets and seats which detach from the stroller frame.

If you’re in the market for a stroller that was designed with both baby and mom in mind, be sure to check out Mutsy.  Use the coupon code mutsy10off at barebabies.com to receive 10% off any Mutsy purchase. These really are great strollers.

Expecting Company

I’ll be in and out today and over the next few days..  Please leave comments, I love to hear from you.  I will respond at some point.

My daughter-in-law, her husband and their baby are arriving this evening from California for a visit.  They’ll only be here through the weekend, but I want it to be an enjoyable and relaxing time for all of us, a chance to visit.  I’m getting the house in order, mainly cleaning bathrooms and vacuuming.  Thankfully, most of the house was cleaned this past weekend, so I don’t have too much left to do.

I did go grocery shopping this morning and got some ribs in the crock pot for our dinner tonight.  We’ll eat before we head to the airport to pick them up.  I’m very excited to see them and I know my husband can’t wait for them to arrive.  I have a feeling that the next few days are going to fly by!
