The Sewing Mom

I feel like I am just coming off of one of the most unproductive days I’ve had in a very long time.

I began the day really well.  I got up, checked a few things online before getting my shower.  After showering I got a few emails taken care of, did a little business and then got my daughter out of bed.  I did some research on hotels which I will need for my upcoming trip, and then my daughter and I headed out the door for the hair salon.

We each got our hair cut and I got mine colored.  The stylist is a perfectionist, so it took almost 3 hours!  We left there and grabbed a burger at the drive through and then headed to do a few errands.  By the time we got done, it was after 3 this afternoon when we walked in the door at home.  I was completely worn out.

I got an order placed online, called Verizon to ad text messaging to my daughter’s phone and wound up purchasing a new cell phone for myself.  My current phone is over 2 years old.  I wasn’t in a hurry to get a new one, but I just happened to see one today while we were out that I thought was very cool.  It was $149 at the store and I got it for free!  It’s being sent to me, I hope it’s here before I leave on Sunday.

I spent the rest of the afternoon checking hotels.  It’s driving me crazy.  I finally found what I wanted, but they wanted $100 for a pet fee (we’re taking our little dog with us).  That’s insane!  I had to start over.  Then I realized it was 7 p.m. and I hadn’t even thought about what to do for dinner.

I stopped everything and ran to the store to get a few frozen meals.  My daughter and I tend to eat those when my husband is out of town which he currently is.  Thank goodness I didn’t have to cook!

Here it is, 9:45 and I feel like I’ve accomplished nothing.  I’ve promised myself to stay home all day tomorrow and try to get a few things done!
