Need a Travelocity Promotion Code?

Last week I spent several hours online trying to find a round trip airfare for my mom who needed immediate flights for departure. We were both on our computers searching the web for the best deal and, after a long morning of searching, we did manage to find her good flights at reasonable fairs. I think she was even able to use a Travelocity promotion code to get an even better deal, so, I think she did all right.

I find that I’m always looking for coupons to use both online and in stores. I can use www.savings.com to find pretty much any coupon available. I’ve found and used grocery coupons, free item coupons and free shipping codes. Today I even managed to find an electronics coupon that I used to buy a pair of micro-sd cards for mine and my daughter’s cell phones. She’s going to be so happy!

I read some place that if you’re buying something from an online retailer and, at checkout, there is a place to type in a “promotion code”, then more than likely there is a promotion code available, it’s all a matter of finding it. If you do a search for a coupon, it will bring probably bring up hundreds of sites, many of them are outdated or expired. If you want current coupons and coupon codes, use www.savings.com

There’s really never been a better time to use coupons, after all, who doesn’t like saving money?

We Had a Sale

A few weeks ago, my sisters and I held our first booth sale to sell our fabric creations. I keep meaning to post photos of our booth, but I still haven’t uploaded them from the camera, I’m a bit slow.

The booth was a lot of work, but a lot of fun at the same time. We did manage to sell several bags and other items during the 3 days that we were there. This photo is of one bag I sold. It’s a zippered over-the-shoulder bag made from a cute frog print. This style of bag proved to be our most popular item.

I haven’t even turned on my sewing machine since returning from this event. I need to find some motivation and get going on some sewing projects. I’ll keep you posted and I hope to post more photos from our event, soon!

Order Up a Wii

We gave our daughter a Wii in June and she is completely hooked on it! My husband, who is not a gamer at all, has even enjoyed playing games with her. We all love the fact that the remotes are wireless and sense your movements. I was never any good at handling those remotes with all the buttons, my reaction times are just too slow.

I know I should be sewing, but instead, my daughter and I spent several hours last night playing Wii. We enjoy several of the Mario games and Big Brain Academy. I have to laugh though, one of my daughter’s favorite games on Big Brain involves taking restaurant orders and remembering the order. If it’s a memory game, it’s not for me!

I know we need to get a few more games, we need a little more variety.

I just heard of a new game for Wii called Order Up! and I really think it sounds like a winner. The players have to learn how to run a restaurant and do everything from the cooking, to managing the different cooking stations and the assistant chefs. There are different restaurant types to manage, everything from fast food to fine dining. This game is designed specifically for Wii and utilizes the sensor technology that we all find so enjoyable. Click to check out the Order Up! Trailer. Order Up! is rated E for everyone. :-D
