Ike Has Passed Dallas

Ike Has Passed Dallas

Hi to all, and thank you to all who shared your concern and comment.  Hurricane Ike has come and gone, barely grazing the Dallas area.  It was a huge relief.  While we did get rain and some wind, it was definitely not nearly what we were expecting.

I apoligize for not posting sooner.  Besides spending so much time preparing for Ike’s arrival, yesterday was also our wedding anniversary.  Rather than spend so much time on the computer, as is my custom, I opted to spend the day with my husband.  We really didn’t do much as it was raining and we were expecting the weather to get worse.  We did end up going out for a very nice dinner in Dallas and, overall, enjoyed a very relaxing day.

Again, a big thank you to all of you who left me comments.  I know there are many others who live in Houston and Galveston who did not make out as well as we did here in Dallas and I continue to pray for them.

    Happy Anniversary!!

Yes, we dodged the bullet and now our weather promises to be gorgeous this week.

Fortunately the weather promises to be pleasant for our neighbors in the south, too. They need all the breaks they can get without any power for air conditioning.

Happy Belated Anniversary! You did a wonderful job by spending the time with each other rather than working on your computer. We all need unplanned break like this.
