Tackle It Tuesday

Tackle It Tuesday Meme
My tackle is much less sophisticated than Jen’s who is the guest tackler this week at 5 Minutes For Mom this week. Please do go check out her incredible pie crust making with step by step instructions that make me feel that even I could make a pie crust from scratch! As for my tackle, I have a to do list that I really need to get done today, so here it is.

  1. Load sewing machine with cotton thread and wind a couple of spare bobbins.  Install a new sewing needle.
  2. Pack sewing machine and all necessary fabrics and supplies and load into car.
  3. Attend Beginning Piecing class #2.
  4. Email Band Director
  5. Call telephone company
  6. pay a few bills
  7. order checks

Now, I’m sure there are a few other items that should be on the list, but I seem to be having memory issues lately!  In case you didn’t see my fabrics in my earlier post, these are the fabrics I’m working with to make my quilt.  Last week, we spent the class cutting all the pieces, so we will begin sewing today.

Oh, you are so sweet to say such nice things about my tackle! I think your quilt is going to be beautiful! How will you be quilting it? By hand or by machine? Good luck!

I like the colors for your quilt. I need to make a to do list (maybe then I could get something done). I thought I was the only one with ‘memory issues.’ :)

That’s going to look terrific. Your family ought to sell all of the beautiful things you make online.

I loved even the way you wrote your tackle, very nicely done!
Truthfully? I will probably take a class on machine quilting, I don’t have the patience for hand sewing. :-D

Val – We do occasionally attempt to sell what we make, although, we’ve never tried selling our quilts. I think we enjoy having them around the house too much! This one is actually my first attempt at making a regular size quilt and, in the end, it will only be a lap quilt. I’ve started a second quilt today for my granddaughter, a twin size (she just turned 1)
