I’ve been registered since 1991. I vote in all the elections… big ones, small ones… it doesn’t matter. I’m there voting.

I’m registered to vote and still waiting on my absentee ballot to come in the mail. I don’t know what’s up with it. Anyway, I think it’s great that you pointed out the importance of local elections in your post. Lots of people think about voting as only voting for president, which in a lot of places may not even be relevant because of the electoral college. But voting for local office/propositions/measures is really important and people should take the time to research them and vote on those issues because they can affect you more than the big national issues.
