Four Foods on Friday #51

I am thankful I made it to Friday. It’s been a week that I don’t care to repeat, except for the fact that I poured myself back into my sewing and am finding some psychological healing in my sewing room. In celebration of it being Friday, I am so happy to be doing my favorite meme, Four Foods on Friday. If you would like to join in, head over and check it out at Fun, Crafts and Recipes.

This weeks questions and my answers:

#1. I passed Costco and saw gas at $2.84 and have had Costco on the brain since. Share a cupcake, muffin or cookie recipe. Not sure how Costco and muffins fit together since I don’t shop there, but I’ll play along! My muffin recipe consist of following the directions on the back of the box for Betty Crocker Wild Blueberry Muffin Mix. Eat them while there fresh from the oven with some butter on them and a cup of hot coffee.

#2. Cupcakes, muffins and cookies require something to drink. What do you drink with them? Whoops, I gave that answer in the above question, but I like a cup of hot coffee with my muffins.

#3. Which do you prefer, mini muffins and cupcakes or full sized ones? I prefer full size, but wont’ turn down mini!

#4. What type of muffin or cupcake pan do you use? Silicone, disposable, etc. I use the old fashioned muffin tins and put the paper cups in them. I mainly use the paper cups to keep clean up easier.

Costco has the biggest and yummiest muffins and cupcakes you’ve ever seen, and you get like a dozen of them for $5. They are seriously the size of a softball.

Wowe, that’s great for gas. It’s still over 3.30 in VT.

Costco muffins are delicious, but they are HUGE. And probably about 100 points each. And you have to check the nutrition chart carefully - because on a lot of them, the serving size is HALF a muffin, yet still a million calories!

Sorry to sound like a parrot but I couldn’t figure Costco and muffins either. I thought it was val’s trick question (LOL). Isn’t everything at Costco huge though? I looked at the canned soup and I just went gaaahh!

I think we’ve all used Betty Crocker at one time or another. I just discovered her brilliance a year or two ago and am a big fan. :) Not to copy everyone else, but I was wondering about the costco thing too! LOL

I prefer mini sized muffins and they go well with tea. For me tea and muffin is much better than coffee and tea. But only my opinion. When doing muffins I also use tins from when I remember and they are not hard to clean. So lets keep on muffing, just be careful not to get too fat too soon

Wow. $2.84 for a gallon is really good. It’s not that low where I live yet. Oh, I like tea with muffins but then again, I’m not really a coffee drinker.

I love the wild blueberry mix. I prefer the glass pans. Remember not to heat up things in plastic too…the dioxins released are linked to breast cancer that is why ceramics and glass is great for cooking.
