Wordless Wednesday – Breast Cancer Awareness

posted in sewing |

This tote bag is available for $40. I will provide a discount to anyone who has donated $10 or more to any of the legitimate Breast Cancer funds or, if you have or plan to walk in any of the Breast Cancer fund raising walks such as the 3 Day walk. If you qualify for the discount, the bag is $25.

I decided to design and craft another funĀ  quilted tote bag in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I love all of the ladies on this fabric! They appear again on the inside of the bag as pockets. The bag measures approx. 12″ wide at the bottom and is approx. 15″ high. There are 5 interior pockets and it has a magnetic snap closure. The bag has been machine quilted and is made of 100% cotton, quilt quality fabric. The tote bag as well as the handles have batting for added support and softness. This bag is machine washable.

What a wonderful WW. This is just a superb way to make a statement. Oh my I just took a picture….this is very touching…not to mention also very pretty.

I don’t want any gifts or anything. I didn’t even realize really until the last of this month that it was Breast cancer awareness…..maybe it’s because my sister -in-law has had it and I tend to block….shame on me.

But we do help in other ways!

    Great WW…here’s mine!

Sue – Thanks for the compliment on the bag and the sentiment about the job loss. I am disappointed, that money sure would have been nice for the holidays. But, I’m moving on… not sure with what, but I’m moving on! :-D

Thanks Ellen! It definitely is a nice accomplishment to complete a bag, especially lately when I haven’t really felt like doing much of anything! The good news is that I did sell 2 of my breast cancer fabric totes and that makes me even happier! :-D

John and Duni – Thanks so much! It is nice that not only through the original purchase of the fabric, but also, through the selling of the bag, money goes to a great cause.
