Luggage Identification

posted in sewing |

I saw the gadget segment on the Today show this morning and they had a little key fob that connected one end to your luggage handle and the other end you kept with it. Then, when you went to find your luggage at the airport, you hit the button and your suitcase would supposedly beep at you. That’s assuming you could hear it in all the noise of the airport luggage area!

This is a wrap that you can make yourself out of your favorite brightly colored fabric, wrap it around the handle of your suitcase and then you can easily tell which suitcase is yours at aglance. You can even find the tutorial for this handy luggage handle at Turkey Cookies. This is so simple and such a great idea!

I love the neon too! I’d definitely be able to find my suitcase on the luggage carousel with that color on the handle!

That a cute idea. My mom just ties a piece of bright yarn to her handle.

Jenny – I’ve used bright colored luggage tags and other ideas too. I like this handle cover too, and it’s so easy to make!

That’s a fantastic idea! It seems like everyone has black luggage these days. I got smart a few years ago and brought a funky gray suitcase, and I’ve yet to see someone with the same color, so I can always pick it out.
