Quilted Table Topper
back of table topperThis is not the best photograph, but I wanted to showcase this beautiful table topper. I did not create this, it was a gift from my Mom. She made this quilted table topper at a gathering with my 2 sisters. They were all very busy buying fabric, sewing and creating beautiful projects, all while I was stuck at home, unable to participate.

My Mom stopped by on her way from Indiana to Arizona a few weeks ago and left this beautiful quilted Christmas table topper on my counter for me. The fabrics are all so pretty and many have flecks of gold in them. She quilted it using a metallic gold thread making it sparkle even more. I absolutely love it and am so happy she chose to give it to me.

I love the table runner your Mom made for you. It is definitely a gift to treasure. I am very sentimental about things people make and give to me.
I have a runner my Mom quilted several years ago and gave to me. I hate using it because I’m afraid something will ruin it.

Wanda – I do love it and will treasure it! I hated putting it away after the holidays, I just enjoyed having it out. Thankfully, I have another one that my mom made that I have on my coffee table the remainder of the year. :-D

What a nice gift, they are very pretty! I love having the things today that my mom made for me. This past Christmas it was a thrill to find some ornaments she had made in a box I got from my dad’s after he died. It was the first time I went through that box.

P.S. Thanks for continuing to visit me while I’ve been without a computer. It is going to take a little longer then expected and I should be getting one by the end of this month.
Hope you had a Happy Holiday Season.

Laurie – You are so sweet! I do think being raised in a family that was always sewing or creating something does lend toward us growing up and enjoying doing those same types of crafts.
