Requests For Custom Embroidery

posted in sewing |

As many of you know, I own a sewing/embroidery machine that I do all of my sewing work on. I love my machine and the embroidery has opened up a world of possibilities for me. Having an embroidery machine does not mean however, that I can meet every customer request that I get.

For example, while I can embroidery letters and names, it takes time for me to create the graphic design on my computer, transfer it to my embroidery machine and then stitch it out. There are also certain items that I don’t enjoy working with such as ball caps and smaller pieces of pre-made clothing. For those types of embroidered products , I recommend Threadsmith.com because they have a patented technology that allows them to create digitized graphics on demand. They also have no minimum quantity requirements and fast delivery.

I’m personally considering using Threadsmith.com to created a personalized sweatshirt for my daughter with her softball team logo and player # on it. The team provides the uniform, but no other clothing items and I can assure you, she needs a sweatshirt and sweat pants when they play in the winter, which they do here in Texas. I can simply upload the team logo and they take care of the rest, it couldn’t be more simple.

So, for any of you wondering how to get something personalized, whether it’s for an individual or a whole team, you may want to consider Threadsmith.com.

Hi! I am looking for purchasing a sewing machine and i didn“t know what to buy. It would be for leisure, nothing really professionnal, I just want to sew pulls for my grandchildren.
I am hesitating between Singer and Brother, which of them you think would be more interesting??
    Thanks, Eva

Eva – Between a Brother and a Singer, personally I would choose the Singer. Many would say Brother though. My best advice is to purchase the machine that has the features you most want and need, as well as to purchase the machine from a sewing store, not a mass merchandiser. Purchasing from a sewing store provides you with customer service and possibly free sewing classes to learn the features of your machine.

Ahh..one of these days I’m going to buy myself a sewing/embroidery machine. I do hand-embroidery on some items, like my lavender-filled hearts. The result isn’t too bad, but a machine would be much better!

Hey I am freezing up here in Oklahoma. We got ice. Oh hurry spring time.

Now I can start trying to learn how to sew again.

    Happy weekend,

Duni – I really do love the embroidery that the machine does. Nothing compares to hand embroidery though. :-D

Oh Shinade! I’m so happy you’ve come back! We were freezing here in Dallas too, but tomorrow is supposed to get up to 70! Of course, when it’s cold outside, I have a better excuse to stay indoors and sew. :-D
