Going back to work can be challenging for many reasons. One challenge I’ve had over the past couple of weeks has been dealing with the colder temperatures. You see, because I’m not yet working from home and I do have to actually drive in to the office to attend my training sessions, that also means I have to put on work clothes, not just an old pair of jeans and a sweatshirt. I also have to have decent shoes and therein lies my problem. In the fall I was okay because it was still warm enough that I could wear my sandals, but now it’s cold and I need shoes that I can wear with socks to keep my feet warm. I’m still wearing khakis or nice jeans, but I also want good shoes. So, I’ve been doing some shopping.
I’m limited on time right now, so I’ve been doing my shoe shopping online and found dani black shoes and boots. I really like the look you can achieve with boots and I’m so glad they’re still in fashion. I can wear the boots with jeans and then, if I wanted to, I could also wear them with a skirt. I like the options the boots provide and I think they look classy. This pair has a 3 3/4″ heel which is a bit tall for me, but because it’s what is called a “stacked” heel, I think I could comfortably wear this pair of boots, especially since they do have padded insoles for comfort. Making these boots even more attractive is the fact that they are being offered at half price! That’s a deal that’s hard to pass up. They come in 3 different colors, but I think I’ll go with the black, it’s the color I wear the most. Let me know what you think of these!

Today is the end of a very stressful week of training on my new job. Two more weeks to go and then I’ll be working from home which will at least alleviate the stress of the commute to and from work!
To celebrate that it’s Friday, I’m kicking it off with my favorite meme, Four Foods on Friday sponsored by Valmg of Fun, Crafts and Recipes. To participate, just head on over to her blog and check it out, it’s super easy!
This week’s questions and my answers:
#1. What’s the oddest thing you’ve ever made with bread? Well, most people probably wouldn’t think it was odd, but I made bread pudding once and let me tell you, it came out very odd indeed! Let’s just say it was not edible!
#2. What’s the oddest thing you’ve ever done with mac and cheese or pasta? I’m a pretty basic cook, so I don’t do too much odd stuff, on purpose anyway. It could be that because I’ve yet to drink my coffee this morning, I just can’t think of an answer!
#3. Is there a food you eat other then it is intended? Occasionally I’ll take a pancake, sprinkle it with sugar and roll it up to eat it. Sometimes I just don’t feel like eating syrup.
#4. What’s the weirdest food you’ve ever seen? Cow lips (saw it on t.v.).
