Not So Wordless Wednesday – Birthday Cake

posted in family |

My evening ended just as my day began, with a nice surprise. This time it was a lovely German chocolate cake that my husband picked up on his way home from work. German chocolate is my very favorite, so I was quite happy and stuffed once I ate a big piece of it!

I hate coconut cake, but I love chocolate so guess what kind the ex would get for my birthday? Yep you guessed it coconut because he liked it. You have a very nice thoughtful husband. I hope your day was a great one.

Thanks Sheila! I had a big slice of that cake for my breakfast this morning! Not so healthy, but very satisfying!

Mrs. Mecomber – I think it’s the coconut frosting that I’m hooked on. I could have that frosting on just about any flavor cake and I’d be happy! You do have to be a fan of coconut though to enjoy this one.

Vixen – I have a hard time resisting German chocolate frosting, I’d even eat it without the cake!

Being German myself, and loving Chocolate, I must warn you: that cake is actually not German. Its some American invention named after us germans :) Nothing what-so-ever like a German Cake. Now a real german cake should have some type of booze in there, heeheehee.

Hey Chris! Don’t the German’s put booze in just about everything they cook or bake!? :-D
