Over the Shoulder Zipper Bag

posted in sewing |

My girlfriend was visiting a couple of weeks ago and while she was here, she looked through my fabric stash and asked if I could make her a bag as a gift for her mom. Her mom is a golfer and we thought it would be nice to have a small bag that fits across the shoulder for her to carry a few items in while she’s golfing, eliminating the need to carry her purse.

This is the end result which I finished yesterday.

And what a coincidence – my girlfriend was here
last week and asked me to make her mom a bag for
her upcoming birthday! How funny is that?

Thank you very much! I really do like the colors too and noticed that the purse I’m currently carrying is made from very similar fabrics. :-D

You’re so sweet Heidi! This is the only purse I’ve made in a couple of months, been too busy to sew. I’m hoping to show my daughter’s project soon, I’m teaching her to sew and she is making a fabric doll for a class project!

Thanks Amy! This is one of the funnest little bags to make and the zipper is super easy to install. I love that it looks like an accent rather than the functional zipper that it really is. :-D
