With all of the budget cuts going on in our household, I’ve been struggling to find the best ways to satisfy different needs that we all have. One of the biggest is the fact that we have a teenager who is in need of some new clothes that fit, she’s grew over the winter. I have to make sure to make the hard earned dollar go even farther than it ever has and so I’m always looking for good quality clothes, on sale.
We also have my nephews wedding that is coming up in July and my daughter and I both need new dresses to wear to the big day. I’ve been shopping around for the last month, hoping to take advantage of some good pricing, but it’s not been easy. Today, I can honestly say, I have had a successful search!

I apologize for my absence this week, I’ve been busy on the homefront. My daughter was out on Spring Break all week and I also was working extra hours to pick up some of the financial slack we’ve been feeling around here. My husband is still working, but sometimes it feels like it’s a day to day thing. I don’t want to be caught off guard if something should happen to his job (which I’m praying nothing will).

My girlfriend was visiting a couple of weeks ago and while she was here, she looked through my fabric stash and asked if I could make her a bag as a gift for her mom. Her mom is a golfer and we thought it would be nice to have a small bag that fits across the shoulder for her to carry a few items in while she’s golfing, eliminating the need to carry her purse.
This is the end result which I finished yesterday.
Earlier in the week, we here in Dallas had temperatures in the low to mid 80’s. In fact, I was out trimming bushes just this past Sunday, sweating in the heat and just about ready to jump into our swimming pool for a refreshing dip. Tuesday night, everything changed. The winds changed direction bringing in buckets of rain and cold temperatures, and I mean in the 30’s! What I wouldn’t give for a nice vacation to Florida right now.
To make Florida even more enticing, I saw this video of the dolphins at Seaworld and I would be thrilled to go watch these Dolphin Bubbles in person. This is the same video that was seen recently on ABC’s World News with Charles Gibson, if you haven’t all ready seen it, you really have to watch this!
Dolphins really are an intelligent mammal and have developed a playful way to entertain themselves by blowing bubbles. These aren’t just any bubble, these are carefully blown bubbles that the dolphins then twirl, or toss, or play with before actually popping them. It’s truly amazing to watch and its an amazing behavior to observe. I’d love to hear if you’ve ever seen the Dolphin Bubbles in person and what you thought of it.
