Fabric Shopping!

Fabric Shopping!

I went to the big %25 off sale at the local quit shop and got a few more pieces of yellow and black fabric to finish a purse I’ve been working on and I also purchased some browns to make a new rag style purse for myself. While I was there, my sister Grace let me know that she was wanting some black and white fabrics to make a purse for herself, so I found some pretty prints for her and will be delivering those in person next week when I meet up with her at the quilt show in Paducah, Kentucky.

So, here is what I bought at the sale.

Love the fabric and your purses. To me that is one of the best parts of creating — selecting the fabrics!

I love what you found for Grace! Looks like you did good that the fabric store. I made a table topper today with Portabello Market fabric.

I’m sure the purse turned out really nice with these beautiful fabrics. I love paisley and the brown ones on the first photo are really cute.

I actually had to get back into sewing as a result of my addiction to buying fabric! I was getting a rather large stash and decided I better start putting some of that to good use! :-D

Thank Lin – This is my first BIG quilt show to attend and I am looking forward to it. Of course, spending a few days with my sisters and mom is a nice perk too!

Karen – Oh! I have some of that Portabello fabric. That’s what I was using to make the table topper at the cabin last summer, but mine never got finished.
