Gift Bag For Mom

This is the purse I made as a Mother’s Day gift for my mom. I finished it 2 weeks ago, but couldn’t post the picture until my mom received the gift (I had to mail it).
I made this purse from 11 different fabrics, all of which I purchased while at the AQS Quilt Show in Paducah last month. I accidentally cut the lining at the wrong size, so had to look through my stash to find another lining fabric and I actually really liked the way it turned out. The bag is approximately 14″ wide and 12″ tall. It has plenty of interior room with lots of pockets, including 2 interior side pockets that have elastic to help keep things safe. There are decorative ties on the sides and a button closure.

When I was all done with the purse, I decided it needed a little something extra and so I created a matching cell phone case which I attached to one of the purse handles.
