Wedding Cake

My nephew got married 2 weeks ago today! It’s hard to believe it’s all ready been 2 weeks since we were with my family, enjoying an absolutely beautiful wedding and each others company. We all had such a great time. I took a lot of photos, but am choosing to share only a few here. I’m not a fan of sharing personal photos on the web for anyone to copy and a wedding is so personal. I’m sure if my nephew wants to share them, he’ll let me know.

Here’s one that I’ll always remember, the beautiful and delicious wedding cake! (those berries are all real and all fresh)

Duni – I actually don’t know what flavor the cake was! It was white inside and very moist. There were supposedly 2 different fillings, but I couldn’t tell which one I got. I think it had a cream cheese filling and the chocolate outer layer was a hard chocolate over a fondant icing. If I hadn’t been so full from dinner, I think I would’ve had a second piece!

The chocolate was over buttercream icing. It was so smooth that it looked like fondant, but the bakery we got it from does not use fondant. The flavors were white chocolate with raspberry filling and white chocolate with apricot filling.
